Example
Step 1. Log in as root.
Step 2. Following the path and script name, enter the path to
your system log. For default system log locations,
refer to Errors and Corrective Action.
Because the log will probably have several days’
worth of messages. Make sure the messages being
looked at are for the current date and time. For
example, on a Sun, it is
/var/adm/messages.1.
Step 3. Perform the action the message recommends.
Step 4. If the problem cannot be corrected see “Prepare to
Contact Technical Support” on page -32.

Print messages to 120-characters wide
logfilepath Enter the pathname of the system log file
The location of the system log file varies depending on
the platform. For the default path, refer to
Errors and
Corrective Action.
# su root
# cd /usr/amass/tools
# ./amass_log /var/adm/messages
