Example
Step 1. Log in as root.
Step 2. From the AMASS File System Database directory,
enter the path, utility, and options similar to what is
shown in the following example:
Option Description
-a
databasename
(defaults to /usr/filesysdb)
Check integrity of the AMASS File System
Database
filesv

vgdv
N
Enter one of the following:
•filesv
N
= Checks the files in the File
System Database
• vgdv
N=
Checks the volumes in the
File System Database
N
= Current version number of the AMASS
File System Database
NOTE: Do not use the .dbd file extension
when running this utility.
# su root
# /usr/amass/utils/dbcheck -a /usr/filesysdb/filesv49
# /usr/amass/utils/dbcheck -a /usr/filesysdb/vgdv49
