The first two users on each switch are connected to one of the ports
in the 1 through 10 range on the 20 port 10/100 card. The second
two users on each switch are connected to one of the ports in the
range 11 through 20 on the 20 port 10/100 cards. There are 6 PLEs
in this configuration. This does not include the PLE’s associated with
the two Hunt Group ports which are labeled 1 through 6.
Load sharing is done in a round-robin fashion based upon BOTH the
Destination MAC Address and the Source PLE. The links on which
unicast packets traverse to reach User E depends upon the source
user’s associated PLE. Users A and B are associated with PLE#5 and
therefore the first link in the Hunt group will be used for unicast
packets from A to E and from B to E. Users C and D are associated
with PLE#6 and therefore the second link in the Hunt Group will be
used for unicast packets from C to E and D to E.
