Resolving the Cover Open Error Message
All Troubleshooting procedures assume that only factory-authorized supplies are in use in
the Printer.
Step Procedure
1 Review the following information.
• Symptom: The Printer errors immediately after sending a print job, or
the Rollers do not operate by pressing the buttons on the front panel
(when the cover is open).
• Printer Error State: The front cover Sensor detects that the cover is
open
• LCD Error Display: Cover Open
• Driver Monitor Error Display: None
