10. Push the tray in until it matches the size of paper that will be printed.
11. Insert the plug of the power cord into the AC outlet and turn the printer on by pressing
[ I ] on the power switch on the front left of the printer.
12. Check the display to make sure the printer is ready for printing.
NOTE: If an error message is shown when you turn the printer on, refer to “Warning Messages and Error
Messages” on page 5-31
NOTE: The printer automatically recognizes an option after the option is installed. The printer driver does
not. You must enable (activate) the option in the printer driver after the option is installed.
The steps you will follow vary according to both your operating system and your installed printer
driver. Here are the general steps you will follow.
Select the driver you want to work with.
Locate the printer properties section within the printer driver.
Use the pulldown window to select the option.
Activate the option.
