Receiving Automatically in FAX
Mode
Your machine is preset to Fax mode at the factory. If you have
changed the fax mode, take the following steps to receive faxes
automatically:

In the fax idle mode, press
Menu
until “Fax Setup” displays
on the top line.

Press the scroll buttons until “Receive Mode” displays on the
bottom line and then press
Enter
.

Using the scroll buttons, select “Fax” and then press
Enter
.

When you receive a call, the machine answers the call on a
specified number of rings and receives a fax automatically.

Receiving Automatically in
ANS/FAX Mode
For this mode, you must attach an answering machine to the
EXT.
jack on the back of your machine.

In the fax idle mode, press
Menu
until “Fax Setup” displays
on the top line.

Press the scroll buttons until “Receive Mode” displays on the
bottom line and then press
Enter
.

Using the scroll buttons, select “Ans/Fax” and then press
Enter
.

When you receive a call, the answering machine will
answer.
If the caller leaves a message, the answering machine
stores the message as it would normally. If your machine
hears a fax tone on the line, it automatically starts to
receive the fax.
