location as the computer warms up?
Yes: An accumulation of dust or smoke from external sources may exist on the inside surface
of the glass panel or display. Clean the inside of the glass panel following the cleaning
procedures in this manual. Note: Certain types of ultrasonic humidiers, when used with
unltered tap water, may generate a very ne mineral dust. Although the dust is invisible
to the unaided eye, it can accumulate inside the iMac. Many humidier manufacturers sell
mineral lters to prevent these minerals from becoming airborne.
Heavy concentrations of airborne smoke from cigarettes, cigars, cooking, etc. may, in rare
circumstances, accumulate inside the iMac. Ask the customer to evaluate their work area to
make sure that ashtrays and other sources of smoke are not placed in close proximity to the
air intake ports on the lower portion of the iMac.
No: No other action needs to be taken. Return the computer to the customer.
