9.6 Fault Correction
Use table 9.2 to troubleshoot the drive. If you cannot resolve the problem using this
table, contact Baldor-Reliance.

Overcurrent
Accel/Decel time is
too short compared to
the inertia of the load.
Increase the
Accel/Decel time.
Load is greater than
the drive rating.
Replace the inverter
with appropriate
capacity
Inverter enabled when
the motor is rotating.
Resume operation
after stopping the
motor or use H22
(Speed search).
Output short circuit or
ground fault has
occurred.
Check output wiring.
Mechanical brake on
the motor is operating
incorrectly.
Check the mechanical
brake
ATTENTION:When an overcurrent fault occurs,
the cause of the fault must be corrected before
operation is restarted. Failure to observe this
precaution could result in damage to, or
destruction of, the IGBT.
Ground fault
current
Ground fault has
occurred in the output
wiring of the drive.
Check the wiring
between the drive and
the motor.
The insulation of the
motor is damaged.
Replace the motor.
Inverter
Overload
Load is greater than
the drive rating.
Upgrade the capacity
of motor and drive or
reduce the load.
Overload trip
Torque boost scale is
set too large.
Reduce torque boost
scale.
