Problems and Solutions
Make sure the color settings are correct in the software application
Some application software may contain a dialog box with an option to select black and white
only. Change this setting to enable color printing.
Make sure the BJC-85 is selected as default printer
It is necessary to select the BJC-85 as the default printer. If another black and white printer
is selected as the default printer, then the BJC-85 printer could print black ink only.
Check to see if the BJC-85 printer is selected as the default printer
Colors are broken or uneven
Printed colors are faded, broken or uneven, compared to the colors on the screen.
Make sure the correct BJ cartridge and media type are selected for the print job
Check the printer driver settings, and make sure that the correct BJ Cartridge and Media
Type settings are selected for the print job.
Selecting the BJ Cartridge and Media Type
1 Click Start, select Settings, and click Printers.
2 Right-click the BJC-85 icon and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
3 Select the Main tab.
