Problems and Solutions
Cannot feed paper manually
The printer would not accept a sheet of paper inserted manually.
Check to see if the paper is set correctly
Always fan the stack to remove static cling before loading the sheets in the sheet feeder.
Make sure the stack is perfectly at without curls, folds, wrinkles, etc., then align the edge of
the stack with the right side of the sheet feeder and insert it into the printer until it stops.
Slide the paper guide to the left edge of the paper.
To prevent curling, do not leave paper in the sheet feeder for a long period.
Do not load the following type of paper in the sheet feeder:
Excessively thin paper (17 lb./64 g/m
2
or less)
Excessively thick paper (28 lb./105 g/m
2
or more)
Postcards
Thick envelopes (use only US Com #10 or European DL)
Punched or heavily embossed paper
