Print Quality
Introduction
The HP LaserJet 5Si Mopier prints at true 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) with
Resolution Enhancement technology (REt) and MicroFine toner. REt
adjusts the size and placement of each dot to smooth angles and curves.
Combined with MicroFine toner, this sharpens the appearance of text
and graphics. The mopier also offers 300-dpi printing with REt to give
you a wider range of printing alternatives.
This chapter tells you how to:
Choose print resolution.
Fine-tune print quality by adjusting the print density.
Improve print quality.
Use EconoMode to print drafts and save toner.
Note To find the current mopier settings, use the mopier control panel to print
a configuration page. This procedure is described in “Test Menu” in
Chapter 4, “Mopier Control Panel.”
