•The no host command only clears the address from the DHCP server
database. It does not cancel the IP address currently in use by the host.

client-identifier
This command specifies the client identifier of a DHCP client. Use the no
form to remove the client identifier.
Syntax
client-identifier {text text | hex hex}
no client-identifier
• text - A text string. (Range: 1-15 characters)
• hex - The hexadecimal value.

Command Usage
• This command identifies a DHCP client to bind to an address specified
in the host command. If both a client identifier and hardware address are
configured for a host address, the client identifier takes precedence over
the hardware address in the search procedure.
• BOOTP clients cannot transmit a client identifier. To bind an address to
a BOOTP client, you must associate a hardware address with the host
entry.
