Printing Problems
If you are having problems printing with the MultiPASS L60, check the problems
and solutions listed in the following table.
Problem Possible cause Solution
The ALARM lamp comes on
and the MultiPASS L60 beeps
while printing?
The MultiPASS L60 may
have a paper jam.
Clear any paper jams as
described earlier in this chapter.
If the MultiPASS L60 has no
paper jam, unplug it, wait five
seconds, then plug it in again. If
the problem is fixed, the
ALARM lamp will be off, and
the LCD display will show the
time and receiving mode
(standby mode). If the ALARM
lamp stays on, call your local
authorised Canon dealer or the
Canon help line.
Nothing prints? The power cord may not be
plugged in securely.
Make sure the power cord is
plugged securely into the unit
and into a wall outlet.
The parallel interface cable
may not be securely
connected to the MultiPASS
L60 and the computer.
Check the parallel interface
cable’s connections. See page
2-15.
The parallel interface cable
may not be the correct type.
Make sure you are using a bi-
directional parallel interface
cable. See page 2-15.
The MultiPASS L60 and/or
the computer were turned on
while you were connecting
the parallel interface cable.
Unplug the MultiPASS L60 and
turn the computer off, then plug
in the MultiPASS L60 and turn
the computer on again.
