Creating A Backup Profile
• Next, choo se t he Profile Type you want to cr eat e:
• For this device only – cre ate s a backup that is manu all y r est ored by the
operator.
• AutoRestore for this device only – creat es a prof il e that automat ica ll y
restores i tse lf following a col d st ar t.
• AutoRestore for this and other devices – cr eat es a profil e th at a u tomat i-
cally resto res aft er resuming from a cold start, but it will not contain the
touchscreen calibra ti on coor dinates or t he Wireless ra dio set tings.
• Fina lly, choose a Profile Location – The l ocation for the profile is ei ther
\Flash Disk or \SD-MMC Card.
• Tap on the Next
button to display the next dial og box Add Files.

By default, All Files is selecte d so tha t all in stall ed or copied files, dat aba se entri es,
and the Regis tr y will be saved. You can, however, l imi t t he backup to databases,
and/or the registry only. By tappi ng the checkbox next t o these items, you c an add or
remove a check mark to enable or dis abl e th e opt ion.
The Select Files opt ion allows you to se lec t pr edef ined file types.
• Remove the c heck mark ne xt t o All Files. You’ll notice the checkbo x next
to Select Files ch anges , i ndi cat ing t hat addi ti onal opti ons are availabl e.
