Yes? Replace the print cartridge.

service representative.
Contaminated first prints Are the first prints after a
CRU or Fuser Wick change

Yes? Run ten prints to remove
contamination from the
paper path.
Solid image area is light or
has light areas.
Is paper damp? Use paper from a new package.
Image loss on either side of
print, when using edge-to-
edge printing
Are you losing image at left
or right edges of a 1-sided
print?
Are you losing image at left
or right edges of a 2-sided
print?
Yes? If image loss is no more than
2.5 mm on either side of a 1-
sided print, the printer is
working correctly.
Yes? If image loss is no more than
4.0 mm on either side of a 2-
sided print, the printer is
working correctly.
Lead edge distortion on
output prints.
Are you getting image loss
on 1-sided prints?
Yes? The allowable image loss
from lead edge is up to 3
mm.
The allowable image
degradation from the lead
edge is up to 4 mm.
Are you getting image loss
on 2-sided prints?
Yes? The allowable image loss
from lead edge is up to 3
mm.
The allowable image
degradation from the lead
edge is up to 5 mm.
Print is wiped off easily. Is the paper damp? Yes? Use paper from a new
package.
