Choosing a BootP Request Mode
The BootP Request Mode field in the IP Configuration screen allows you to
choose which method the switch uses to broadcast BootP requests:
BootP Disabled
BootP or Last Address
BootP When Needed
BootP Always
Last BootP
Column header for the read-only fields in this screen. The read-only data displayed
in this column represents data obtained from the last BootP reply received.
In-Band Stack IP
Address
Accessible with BayStack 450 and BayStack 410-24T switch models only:
(Allows the in-band
stack
IP address field to be set for stackable switch models).
In-Band Switch IP
Address
The in-band IP address of the BayStack 350 switch.
Default Value 0.0.0.0 (no IP address assigned)
Range Four-octet dotted-decimal notation, where each octet is
represented as a decimal value, separated by a decimal point
Note:
When the IP address is entered in the In-Band IP Address field, and the
In-Band Subnet Mask field value is not present, the software provides an
in-use
default value for the In-Band Subnet Mask field that is based on the class of the IP
address entered in the In-Band IP Address field.
In-Band Subnet Mask
The subnet address mask associated with the in-band IP address shown on the
screen.
Network routers use the subnet mask to determine the network or subnet address
portion of a host’s IP address. The bits in the IP address that contain the network
address (including the subnet) are set to 1 in the address mask, and the bits that
contain the host identifier are set to 0.
Default Value: 0.0.0.0 (no subnet mask assigned)
Range: Four-octet dotted-decimal notation, where each octet is
represented as a decimal value, separated by a decimal point.
Default Gateway
The IP address of the default gateway.
Default Value: 0.0.0.0 (no IP address assigned)
Range: Four-octet dotted-decimal notation, where each octet is
represented as a decimal value, separated by a decimal point.
