where you can de fi ne the code len gth t hat will be r ecognized by yo ur sc anner.
Choosing One discrete length allows you to decode only thos e codes containing a
selected length. Choo sing Two discrete lengths allows you to decode only those
codes contai ning two select ed lengths . Length within a range allows you t o d ecode
a code type wi thi n a specifi ed ra nge f rom 6 t o 55.
Check Digits
Double-tapp ing on this paramet er di spl ays a dialog box in which y ou can choose
One or Two check digi t( s).
If this parameter is set to One, it is a ssum ed that the last d igi t is a check di git . If
“Check Digit s” i s set to Two, it is assumed that the last t wo digits are chec k digits.
Note: If Two check digits is selected, an MSI Plessey “Check Digit Algorithm:
must also be selected. See below for details.
Transmit Check Digit
If this para me ter is enabl ed, t he check digit is inc lude d wit h the bar
code data.
Check Digit Algorithm
When the Two MSI Plessey check digits option is se lected, an additional verification
is requir ed t o ensure int egri ty. Double- ta pping on this pa ramet er displays a di alo g
box n which you ca n choose the al gori thm t o be us ed:
MOD 10/MOD 11 or
MO D 10/ M OD 10 .
