Decoded (Internal) Scanners

where you can de fi ne the code len gth t hat will be r ecognized by yo ur sc anner.
Choosing One discrete length allows you to decode only thos e codes containing a
selected length. Choo sing Two discrete lengths allows you to decode only those
codes contai ning two select ed lengths . Length within a range allows you t o d ecode
a code type wi thi n a specifi ed ra nge f rom 4 t o 14.
Check Digit Verification
When enabled, th is parameter chec ks the integr it y of a n I 2 of 5 symbol to
ensure it compli es with a spec if ied a lgor it hm – ei ther USS (Uni for m Symbology
Specific ati on) or OPCC (Optical Product Code Counci l) .
Transmit Check Digit
If this p ara me ter is enabl ed, t he check digit is inc lude d with the bar c ode da ta.
Convert To EAN 13
If this p ara meter is enabled, t he I 2 of 5 bar c ode i s con verted to EAN 13.

Set Length L1 And Set Length L2
Lengths for “Discret e 2 of 5” can be set for Any length, Length within a range, One
discrete length or Two discrete lengths. The length of a code r efers to the number of
characte rs ( i.e ., human readable c hara cte rs) , including check di git(s).
