EAP Credentials
Keep the fol lowi ng in mi nd when de fining secur ity settings :
If t he credential s specified in the config are incorrect and that config is used,
the authent icati on fails without an error message ; you will not be promp ted
to enter correct cre dentials.
If th e credential s are not speci fied in the config, when the radio tri es to asso-
ciate usi ng t hat confi g, you will be pr ompte d to e nter the credentials.
When prompte d, you can enter v ali d cr edent ia ls, e n te r in val id cr edentials ,
or cancel t he operati on.
If you e nter valid credential s and t ap OK, the radi o wil l a ssoc iat e and
authenticate.
If you e nter invali d cr edent ia ls a nd tap on OK, the radio will as soci at e
but will not a uthenticate; you will be p rompte d aga in t o ent er c red en-
tials.
If you t ap on Cancel or clear the cre dent ial s f iel ds a nd ta p on OK, the
radio will not attempt to assoc iate with that config until you perform one
of the foll owi ng ac ti ons ( w hil e the config is the active config):
Cause t he WORKABOUT PRO to go through a power cycle or sus-
pend/resume.
Disable and enable the radi o, or tap the Reconnect button on the Diags
windows.
Modi fy t he config, and tap on Commit.
Alternat ivel y, you c an ch oose a nother config as the acti ve config and then swit ch
back to the config for which EAP aut hent ic ati on was c ance ll ed.
ThirdPartyConfig
If you choose to co nfigure ThirdPartyConfig, the SCU will work with the operating
system’ s Windows Zero Config ( WZC) to configure radi o and security se tt ings for
the CF radio i nst alled in t he uni t.
Choosing thi s config means that WZC must be us ed to define the f oll owing radio
and securi ty options: SSI D, Auth Type, EAP Type and Encrypt ion.The SCU s ettings
for ThirdPartyConfig include: Client Name, Power Save , Tx Power, Bit Rate and
Radio Mode. These SCU se tt ings along with SCU global se tti ngs and the WZC
settings wil l be a ppli ed t o the radio modul e.
