WARNING
SInstall the fork spring with its smaller pitch up-
ward.
SBefore installing the cap bolt, apply grease to
the O-ring.
STemporarily tighten the cap bolt.

INSTALLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS
The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Install:
Sfront fork leg
Temporarily tighten the upper and lower
bracket pinch bolts.
Make sure that the inner fork tube is flush with
the top of the upper bracket.
2. Tighten:
Slower bracket pinch bolt

Scap bolt
2
Supper bracket pinch bolt
3
Lower bracket pinch bolt
23 Nm (2.3 mSkg)
Cap bolt
23 Nm (2.3 mSkg)
Upper bracket pinch bolt
30 Nm (3.0 mSkg)
Make sure that the brake hoses are routed
properly.
3. Adjust:
Sspring preload adjusters (left and right)
Refer to “ADJUSTING THE FRONT FORK
LEGS” in chapter 3.
