SCheck that the fuel level gauge needle move to
“F” to “E”.
Before reading the fuel level gauge, leave the
float in one position (either up or down) for at
least three minutes.
SDoes the fuel level gauge needle move ap-
propriately?

Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the me-
ter assembly coupler (wire harness side) as
shown.
Tester positive probe ! brown
Tester negative probe ! black

bly coupler is faulty
and must be re-
paired.
NO
SSet the main switch to “ON”.
SMeasure the voltage (12 V).
SIs the voltage within specification?
YES
Replace the fuel level
gauge.
NO
