FORWARDING DATABASE COMMANDS
The Forwarding Database commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along with the
appropriate parameters) in the following table.

Each command is listed in detail, as follows:
create fdb
Purpose To create a static entry in the unicast MAC address forwarding table
(database)
Syntax
create fdb <vlan_name 32> <macaddr> port <port>
Description The create fdb command creates a static entry in the Switch’s
unicast MAC address forwarding database.
Parameters <vlan_name 32> The name of the VLAN on which the MAC
address resides.
<macaddr> The MAC address to be added to the forwarding table.
port <port> The port number corresponding to the MAC
destination address. The Switch will always forward traffic to the
specified device through this port.
Restrictions Only Administrator or operator-level users can issue this command.
