Note
Use colons to delimit each octet in the MAC address as shown on the
Network Card’s status page.

Reset the Digital Copier by powering it down and then back up again.
The above step outputs a fixed-period BOOTP request.

Click the
Go
button on the BOOTP dialog.

Wait for about five minutes until the Network Card resets.

Select
Verify
from the
Admin
menu. You should get a response that in-
dicates whether or not your unit is active.

If you get a message stating that the unit is active, you should be
able to ping to the Network Card using the steps below.

If you get a message stating that the unit is not active, check
whether TCP/IP is enabled on the status page.

Display the MS-DOS prompt and type the following:
ping <Network Card IP address>

Repeat step 8 until a response is received. Configuration is complete
when a response starting with the words
Reply from...
is returned.

Quit BOOTP.

Note
You cannot use BOOTP to assign an IP address if the Network Card
has already been assigned an IP address by ATIP.
