INSTALLING THE
PRINTER DRIVER
for Windows
This section describes the installation of the printer drivers on Windows 95/98/Me/NT4.0/2000/
XP when your e-STUDIO16/20/25 is connected to the network. If your e-STUDIO16/20/25 is
connected in a local mode, see the “OPERATOR’S MANUAL FOR PRINTER FUNCTION -
Local Setup”.
Select one of the following to install the printer driver in Windows.
● Installing from the CD-ROM (contains an exclusive installer)
The exclusive installer provides selection step by step and setup of the driver. See page 112.
● Install by adding a printer
This is performed by using the “Add Printer” wizard in Windows. This type of installation is
useful when the exclusive installer is not available. See page 118.
SUPPLEMENTS:
● When using the Peer-to-Peer utility, be certain to install the Peer-to-Peer Utility before
installing the printer driver.
● If the e-STUDIO16/20/25 is to be used on a client server network with Windows NT 4.0
or Windows 2000 setup as a print server, install the printer drivers by using the "Add
Printer" wizard. To setup a printer server on Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, see
“SETUP THE PRINT SERVER WITH Windows NT4.0/2000.”
