access endpoint
A nonsignaling channel on a DS1 interface, or a nonsignaling port on an analog tie-trunk circuit pack to which a unique
extension is assigned. See also digital signal-1 (DS1)

Access Security Gateway (ASG)
An optional interface that can be used to secure the administration and maintenance ports on the system.
access tie trunk
A trunk that connects a main communications system with a tandem communications system in an electronic tandem
network (ETN). An access tie trunk can also be used to connect a system or a tandem to a serving office or a service node.
