Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP)
A simplified version of File Transfer Protocol (FTP). TFTP transfers files, but does not provide password protection or
user-directory capability. See also

trunk
A dedicated telecommunications channel between two communications systems or central offices (COs).
trunk allocation
The manner in which trunks are selected to form wideband channels.
Trunk Answer from Any Station (TAAS)
A feature that provides a special code or a feature button that a user can use to answer an incoming call from any
telephone in the system.
trunk group
Telecommunications channels that are assigned as a group for certain functions, and that can be used interchangeably
between two communications systems or central offices (COs).
trunk-data module
A device that connects off-premises private-line trunk facilities and DEFINITY Server. The trunk-data module converts
between the RS-232C and DCP, and can connect to Direct Distance Dialing (DDD) modems as the DCP member of a
modem pool.
