UDLD will put the port into the shutdown state in the following cases:
a
When there is a loopback. The device ID and port ID sent out on a
port is received back.
b
UDLD PDU is received from a partner does not have its own details
(echo).
c
Bidirectional connection is established and no UDLD packets are
received from the partner device within three times the message
interval.
d
In aggressive mode, when the partner does not respond to an ECHO
within 7 seconds.
Commands in this Chapter
This chapter explains the following commands:
udld enable (Global Config)
Use the udld enable command in Global Config mode to enable UDLD on
all physical interfaces on a switch.
Use the no form of the command to disable UDLD on all interfaces.
Syntax
udld enable
no udld enable
Default Configuration
UDLD is disabled by default.
