Improving print speed
Note
There are different ways to improve print speed, such as by
printing over Ethernet. For more information, visit the Tektronix
web site. Refer to “On-line support” on page 9-1.
To speed the printing of a document with scanned images, here are some
suggestions:
All users
■ When you use any color correction option (other than None), your
printer can take longer to process bitmapped images. Select color
corrections from the supported drivers, with downloadable utility
Þles, or from the printerÕs front panel; see ÒTekColor correction
descriptionsÓ on page 5-3 for more information.
■ The Fast Color print-quality mode is the fastest mode, followed by
the Standard print-quality mode and the Enhanced mode. Select
print-quality modes from the supported drivers, from the
printerÕs front panel, or through your web browser; see
ÒAdjusting print speed and resolutionÓ on page 4-4 for more
information.
Macintosh and Windows users
■ If you are using Adobe Photoshop, you can print using the
Tektronix PhaserPrintª software plug-in to improve the image
data transfer time from your computer to the printer. See the
on-line manual on the printerÕs CD-ROM for instructions on
installing and using the plug-in.
