Installing the Lower Paper Tray Assembly (optional)
Caution
If you are adding a Lower Paper Tray Assembly to a printer
that is already in service, let the printer cool down for at least
30 minutes before you move it to allow sufficient time for the
ink to solidify. Then remove the maintenance tray, and turn off
and unplug the printer.

Unpack the Lower Paper Tray Assembly.
2.
Remove the tray from the Lower Paper Tray Assembly. Remove
the shipping block from the tray and replace the tray in the
assembly. Refer to page 2-15 for paper-loading instructions.
3.
Place the Lower Paper Tray Assembly where you will install the
printer.
Note
To ensure proper printer operation, install the printer and Lower
Paper Tray Assembly on a flat surface having no more than
3 degrees of tilt. This is approximately equivalent to lifting one
side of the printer 2 cm (0.75 in.) off a flat surface.
