Wet the cleaning tray sponge with isopropyl alcohol (

bottle is provided in the cleaning kit for dispensing the
alcohol. Alternately, you can squeeze the alcohol from two
presoaked alcohol wipe packets to moisten the cleaning tray
sponge (

).
Caution
Rubbing alcohol may contain oils that leave undesirable
residue on printer parts. Carefully read the label on the
container. If the rubbing alcohol contains only isopropyl
alcohol and deionized water, it is safe to use. To avoid harming
the printer’s internal components, never use water only to
clean them.
