Moving or shipping your printer
Carefully follow the procedures listed below to avoid damaging your printer
when you need to move or ship it.
1.
Latch all covers: Make sure that all doors and covers are Þrmly
latched to ensure that the printhead is parked. Do not turn off the
printer until the doors are closed to avoid damage to the printhead.
2.
Turn off the printer: Wait for the printerÕs front panel to display
the Ready message or the printerÕs name, then turn off the printer
using the rear-panel On/Off switch.
3.
Unplug the printer: To prevent damage to the printhead and the power
supply, never turn off the printer by unplugging it.
4.
Wait for 30 minutes:
Let the printer cool down for at least
30 minutes before you proceed.
Caution
The printer must be allowed to cool down for at least
30 minutes before you move it so that the ink has time to
solidify. Failure to wait 30 minutes will likely result in an ink
spill that will damage the printer’s internal components.
