Using the Close Call Feature
Call mode and s tores any Close Call hit s , up t o t he max imum you s pecified in the
Max Auto Store setting. If the scan ne r stores mo re hits than this se tti ng , it stops
auto stor e operati on.
Turn the Scroll Control to dis pl ay an option, then pr ess F.
Set CC Mode — Let s yo u select the Close Ca ll mode. I f you set CC DND or CC
Pri , the n every 2 seco nd s the scanner switches th e f ilt er set t in gs to t he on es set
by the CC Bands option.
Off — Close Call is tu rned off for all mo de s.
CC DND (Do Not Distu rb) — The scanner che cks for a Close Call hit eve ry 2
seconds only if the sca nn er is not cu rren tly st opped on a t ra nsmission. If t he
scanner is on a transmission the scanner waits unti l the si gnal ends to perform a
Clo se Ca ll check. This preven t s b re aks in audio during Close Ca ll checks.
CC Pri (Primary) — Clos e Call operat es if a carrier is det ected.
Set CC Override — Lets y ou s elec t how the Clos e Call f eature wo rk s with ot her
scanni ng activities. If you turn this option off, when the scanner detects a C lose
Call signal, CC Found! Press Func Key appear for the tim e you set in Set
CC Pause. Press F when this appears to jump to and hold on the frequency.
If this opti on is turned on, the scanner overrides the current channel and goes to
the Close Call hit. The scanner displays CC Found! Press Any Key. When
you pr ess a key, the frequency appears.
Set CC Alert — Lets you select how the scanner alerts you when i t receives a
Close Call signal. You can select from these options.
Select Beep — The sc anner beeps when it receiv es a C lose Call si gnal. You
can set the beep alert in the followi ng manner.
Off (the scanner does not beep)
Alert 1-9 — The scanner sounds a specialized beep to notify you of a Close
C al l hi t. W hen y ou se lect an a ler t type, the sca nner a uto ma tical l y enter s the setti ng
of the Alert volume level. Each alert has a unique one or sound pattern.
Set CC Pause — Lets you select how long the scanner waits after a hit befor e it
returns to the previous operati on. Your options are:
3/5/10/15/30/45/60 sec.
Infinite — The scanner stops and requires you to m anually select another
operation to enabl e i ts retur n.
