Programming General Settings
Set Record
This setting lets you enab le the REC jack. Then you connect an audio cable to an
audi o recordi ng device such as tape, digital recor der, or hard disc of a computer.
Once set, yo u ca n record, in real time, inco ming t ransmissions.
[MENU] Set Bear Tracker F
Set Record F
to select On or Off.
Then F to set your se lecti on .
Max Priority Scan
T his s etting lets y ou choose how many Bear Track er frequenc ies are checked
during use of the BearTracker Warning System. A lower number makes the break
shorte r, bu t makes it more likely tha t some alerts are missed. A hig h er n um be r
reduces the chance of missed alerts, but the breaks are longer.

Max Priority Scn F
Pr ess a number key to enter a value between 001 and 255.
Press F to enter that value between 1 and 255.
If you exceed 255, and press F, you see
Out of Range, Set Max? (Y/N)
If you want to use the maxi mum settin g, press F.
If not, pre ss [.No] to cancel and enter a new number in range.
Note: This setting affects both the Bear Tr acker channels and any priority
ch an nels yo u have in acti ve con vent iona l systems.
BearTracker Shortcut Options
• To lockout a fr eq, press [L/O] while monitoring an active channel.
• To t og gle a lockout of a t ru nked syst em within the BearTra cker syst em,
press F + [L/O].
• hi nts...To enable attenuation of a strong si gnal, press F + [7].
• To quickl y lock or unlock a service, while i n either Scan mode or Scan Hold
mode, press the service key based on the following table.
