12. [SCAN/SEARCH] Key
• Press to resume s c anning while mo nit oring a channel in Scan Hold mode.
• Pr ess to switch to Scan m od e from a ny mo de exce pt Scan H old, or GP S
mode.
• Press t o enable a sca n scree n f rom G PS mode.
13. [HOLD/RESUME] Key
• Press to enable a Ho ld while in the f ollowing modes : Scan, S earc h, Close Ca ll
Only, and WX Scan.
• Press ag ai n to toggle to sca n mo de fr om a ho ld.
Note that an error tone sounds in Close Call Only mode if a signal has not yet
been ac quired.
14. [MENU] Key
Pr ess then use the Scrol l Control to step to vari ous menu listings for option
settings.
15. BNC Antenna Connector
C onnect an appropriate outdoor antenna or push on the supplied i ndoor antenna.
16. External Speaker Jack
U se an mi ni (

/8-inch 3.5mm) audio plug to connect an external ampli fied speaker
for enhanced listening in noisy environments.
17. 9-Pin Serial Connector for GPS or PC connection
Using the cable fr om the GPS, connect a compatible unit here. Using a standard
serial cable and possibly a gender changer or null modem adapter, connect a PC
se ri a l port her e.
