Power Related Issues
Important: To prevent memory from being corrupted, do not unplug the AC
adapter during the time the memory is accessed for programming or auto store.
Notes:
If wh en you co n nect the AC ad ap ter the [VOL] /Power Switch is ON, the
scanne r may no t power on . Sh ou ld this occur, simply turn the control OFF, then
ON ag ai n.
If the scanner loses power (as when you turn off your car’s ignition with the
scanner’s p ower swit ch on), it can lose some syst em set tings such a s disp la y
colo r and ba cklig ht. To en sur e tha t such settings persist, eith er cha ng e the
setti ng using the scanner’s m enu or power the scanner off then back on usi ng
th e power switch aft er making such se t ting chang es.
Whe n you tur n off th e scanner us i ng the po w er sw itc h, the sc an ner remem bers
th e la st sett ings and mod e. When you turn po wer back on , it resumes the
previous mode.
