Adjusting the Key Beep

Adjust Key Beep F
Auto — the scanne r a utomatically se ts the key b eep to ma tch the maste r volume
se t t ing level you select .
Level 1 - 15 — the scanner lets you manually select one of fifteen key beep
leve ls. As yo u turn the Scroll Control, the beep gets louder. Press F when you
reach the desired level.
Off — the scanner tur ns the key beep off.
Setting the Audio AGC

Set Audio AGC F
T his setting helps balance the audio level you hear as you listen to different radio
sources so you can hear them at a simil ar volume. Use this setting if you listen to
an audio source that has natural changes in audio level for which you want to
compensate.
You can set the m ode to be on or off.
to select either on or o ff.
On — F AGC is enabl e d.
Off — F AGC is di sabled.
Setting the Display Orientation

Set Upside-down F
Thi s setti ng c ontrol s the orientati on of the displ ay. If you s et U psi de-down to On,
the scanner i nverts the displ ay text and graphics. Thi s lets you mount the unit i n a
non-conventional way and stil l see the displ ay in a norm al manner.
Adjusting the Display Contrast
There a re 15 co ntrast le vels. A s yo u scroll from level 1 to 15 you see t he cont ra st
chan ge. Pr ess the Scroll Control to lock th e desired le vel until the t ime you desire
to change it.
