5. R epeat from Step 2 until you have entered the desired name. Then

Notes:
• Each channel name can be up to 16 char acters. Abbreviate as necessary to fit.
• The channel name appears on the second line of the display w hen the radio
scans or stops on a channel.
• If you do not enter a channel nam e, the scanner dis pl ays the frequency (for
co nvention al systems) or th e t alk g roup I D (f or trunke d syst ems) when it st ops
on a chan ne l.
