After you se lect an aler t pattern , the sca nner pro mp ts fo r the alert level for a
received alert. Level options 1 to 15 sets a fixed audio level independent of the
m ain vol ume settin g. AUTO use s th e main volu me setting for th e aler ts.
Tone-Out Multi-Channel Monitoring
T he scanner can check multiple tone combi nation pages for channels whose
settings ar e the same . To achie ve thi s, set the chan ne l to the same frequ en cy,
mo du la ti on , and att enu atio n. For exa mple, the scan ne r checks tone combi na tion s
for channel 1 to channel 3 for the fol lowing settings.
Alth ou gh set to Auto, if the ba nd de fault is anything oth er th an FM or NFM,
modulat ion will always be F M.

Setting Tone-Out Record
As with other functions, you can enable a l ive r ecording fr om the REC ja ck.
Once you choose one of the Tone-Outs between 1 and 10, rotate the Scroll
Control to Set Record and pr ess F. Next sel ect eith er On or Off an d
press F to set your choice and return to the previous menu.
