Fire Tone-Out Introduction
Edit Frequency — E nter the desire d frequ en cy th at th e scanne r sho ul d mon it or
for th e ton e-out.
Set Modulation — Set the modu latio n typ e for th e p ag ing sig na l. Next choose
the modu lati on setti ng:
Auto — The scanner uses the default modulation for the frequency band. If the
defaul t m odul ati on i s AM , WFM, or FMB, the modul ation operates as F M .
FM — Th e scann e r uses FM for the fre qu en cy band . Th is is the de fau lt se tting .
NFM — The scanner uses NFM modulation.
Set Attenuation — Turn t he Scroll Control to select On or Off.
Set Tone — Sets the audio tone frequency for the page. Then choose the Tone
settin g.
Edit Tone A — Set the audio fr equency for Tone A
Edit Tone B — Set the audio fr equency for Tone B
Notes:
• F or two- tone pages , enter a val ue for A and B.
• F o r on e- to ne pag es usi ng sh or t tones of le ss tha n 3.75 seco nds, enter the tone
value for A, and 0 (zero) for B.
• F o r long -tone p ages, such a s gr o up page s of m or e than 3.75 secon ds, en te r 0
(zero) for A and the tone value for B.
Set Delay Time — S et s th e ti me t he scanner rem ains in m o ni to r mode a fte r the
sca nner r ecei ve s a page an d th e c ar ri er dr ops.
1-5 sec — th e scanner resu me s standby mode af t er th e carrier drops and the
select ed t ime exp ires.
Infinite — you must press [HOLD/RESUME] after a p ag e to re sume standb y
mode.
Off — th e scanner resu me s standby as soon as t he carrie r drops af t er a page.
Set Alert — Sets the alert the scanner uses when i t receives an aler t.
Alert 1 - 9 — scroll to sele ct t he alert tone p att ern, Th e scan ner so un ds each
alert as y ou scrol l to its num ber ed value
