Programming Your Scanner
Use o nline resou rce s, such as t he www.radioreferenc e.com d ata base, to identify
the system type.
Even though a syst em has dig ital ch an ne ls, it is n ot n ece ssarily a P 25 syste m.
Note that the BCT15 is not desi gned to pr ocess P25 signals.
These should be entered as Motorola 800 Standard and not P25.

Editing the System Name
[MENU] Program System F
Select the system F
Edit Name F
To en ter a letter, tur n the Scroll Control () until the character you want appears.
To enter a decim al point, press [.No]. To m ove the cursor to the left, press [4]. To
mo ve the cur sor to the right, press [6].
To clear a character, press [.No] twice. To cle ar a ll characters, press [.No] 3 time s.
To accept an entry, press [EYES] or F.

Set Quick Key F
Af t er sele ct ing this o pt io n, select any numb er f rom 0 -99 t o assign the syst em to a
quick key o r press [.No] to assig n t he syst em to no quick key, t hen pre ss F.
Notes:
Acce ss sin gle -digit system/site Q uick Keys by pressing t he sin gle digit on t he
keypad durin g scanning. Access two-dig it syste m Quick Keys by pressing
[.No] then both digits.
You can assign as man y systems t o the same quick key as you wan t .
To be scanned , a system’s Quick Key must be act iva t ed and t he syste m mu st
be unlocked.
