How Do I Delete a Rule That Is Associated with an Interface?
Cisco SDM does not allow you to delete a rule that is associated with an interface;
you must first remove the association between the rule and the interface, and then
delete the access rule.
Step 1 Click Interfaces and Connections in the left panel and click the Edit Interfaces
and Connections tab.
Step 2 Select the interface that you want to disassociate the rule from.
Step 3 Click Edit..
Step 4 In the Association tab, find the rule in the Access Rule box or the Inspect Rule
box. The rule may have a name or a number.
Step 5 Find the rule in the association tab. If it is an access rule, click None (clear rule
association). If it is an Inspection rule, click None.
Step 6 Click OK.
Step 7 Click Rules in the left frame. Use the Rules tree to go to the Access Rule or the
Inspection Rule window.
Step 8 Select the rule that you want to remove, and click Delete.
