Locating the Serial Number
When ordering supplies or contacting Xerox for assistance, you will be asked to provide your printer’s
serial number.
The serial number is located on the printer frame. Open the printer’s front door. The serial number is
located in the upper left hand corner.
The serial number can also be found using the printer’s control panel.
1. On the printer’s control panel, press Machine Status.
2. The Machine Information tab displays by default. The serial number is displayed on the top left
side of the control panel screen.
Usage Counters
The usage counters feature provides access to the printer’s usage and billing information.
1. On the printer’s control panel, press Machine Status.
2. Select the Billing Information tab and then select Usage Counters.
The usage counters list is displayed at the left of the control panel screen. The Total Impressions
counter is always displayed at the top of the list.
Resetting Routine Maintenance Item Life Counters
When replacing some Routine Maintenance Items the printer’s life counter must be reset.
1. Log in as the system administrator.
2. On the printer’s control panel, press Machine Status.
3. Select the Tools tab.
4. In the list on the left side of the tab, select Device Settings.
5. In the list on the right side of the tab, select General, then select Supply Counter Reset.
6. Select the Routine Maintenance Item that was replaced from the list.
7. Select Reset.
8. In the pop-up window, select Reset.
9. Select Close.
