Relatch the fuser
When the printer control panel displays the message relatch fuser,
the fuser is not set correctly. Follow this procedure to relatch the
fuser.
Warning: The fuser area is extremely hot. Never touch areas
other than the handle.
Warning: Sharp fuser parts are labeled. Use care to avoid
touching them.
Procedure
1. Open the printer front door.
Warning: The fuser area is extremely hot.
Never touch areas other than the handle when
clearing a media jam.
2. Rotate the fuser handle counterclockwise and gently
pull the fuser out.
Warning: Sharp fuser parts are labeled;
use care to avoid touching them.
3. Slide the fuser back into the printer until it stops.
4. Close the upper area of the printer.
If needed, push down on the center of the manual
feed tray.
Caution: To avoid hitting the tray, ensure
the tray is in the closed position, after using.
5. Close the front door of the printer.
If the door does not close, ensure the fuser is
pushed in all the way.
