1. Print some labels at 2.4 in. (61 mm) per second by running the PAUSE Self Test
described in To perform a PAUSE self test, complete these steps: on page 134.
2. While printing labels, lower the darkness setting using the front panel controls
until a gray level of printing is seen.
3. Loosen the adjusting nuts at the top of the toggle assemblies.
4. The 90XiIIIPlus and 96XiIIIPlus printers have only one toggle.Loosen the
adjusting nuts at the top of the toggle assemblies.

1. For label types that require higher pressure to print well, increase the pressure
using the adjusting nuts at the top of the toggle assemblies.
2. Increase the darkness level using the front panel controls until the printing is clear.
3. Tighten the knurled adjusting nuts.
Note • Printhead life can be maximized by using the lowest pressure that produces
the desired print quality.
