This procedure is used to adjust the sensitivity of the
media and ribbon sensors.
Note • The procedure must be followed exactly as
presented. All steps must be performed even if only
one of the sensors requires adjustment.
1. Press NEXT/SAVE to skip the calibration
procedure and continue with the host port
selection parameters that follow.
2. Press the right black oval to start the calibration
procedure.
Note • You may press the left black oval at any step
in this procedure to cancel the procedure.

1. Open the printhead.
2. Remove approximately 8 in. (203 mm) of labels
from the media liner, and pull the media into the
printer so that only the liner is between the media
sensors.
3. Leave the printhead open.
4. Press the right black oval to continue.

1. Press the left black oval to cancel the operation or
do the following:

3. Close the printhead.

The printer automatically adjusts the scale (gain) of
the signals it receives from the media and ribbon
sensors. On the sensor profile, this essentially
corresponds to moving the peak of the graph up or
down to optimize the readings for your application.
