1. Review the illustration and table that follows to identify the components you will
be working with.
2. Remove the PCMCIA card shield from the rear of the printer as shown.
3. Insert the PCMCIA card, with the notch up, into the card slot as shown. (Insert far
enough to make the eject button pop out.)
4. Reinstall the PCMCIA card shield over the PCMCIA card and card slot.
Caution • The printer electronics are susceptible to static discharge. Before
proceeding, ground yourself to the printer to remove any existing static.
Note • The PCMCIA card is hot-swappable (it can be installed while the printer is
On).
