Sending Faxes
Setting the Scanning Contrast
Contrast is the difference in brightness between the lightest and darkest parts of a
printed document. You can adjust the contrast the MultiPASS uses to send faxes.
Adjust the contrast according to how light or dark your document is.
Dialing Methods
There are several ways of dialing the number of the party you want to send to:
Regular Dialing
Dial a fax number by using the numeric buttons, just like dialing a telephone
number.
One-Touch Speed Dialing
Dial a fax number by pressing the one-touch speed dialing button (01 to 12)
that the number is assigned to. For details on registering and using one-touch
speed dialing, see the online MultiPASS Desktop Manager Software Guide. If
you are using your MultiPASS as a standalone fax, see the online Standalone
Fax Manual.
Coded Speed Dialing
Dial a fax number by pressing the Coded Dial button followed by the two-digit
code (00 to 99) that the number is assigned to. For details on registering and
using coded speed dialing, see the online MultiPASS Desktop Manager Software
Guide. If you are using your MultiPASS as a standalone fax, see the online
Standalone Fax Manual.
Group Dialing
Send a document to a predefined group of fax numbers. (The numbers must
already be registered under one-touch speed dialing buttons or coded speed
dialing codes.) For details on creating groups and using group dialing, see the
online MultiPASS Desktop Manager Software Guide. If you are using your
MultiPASS as a standalone fax, see the online Standalone Fax Manual.
You can set the scanning contrast from the MultiPASS Fax Setup Utility. If
you are using the Fax Setup Utility, see the online MultiPASS Desktop
Manager Software Guide for details.
If you are not using the Fax Setup Utility, you can set the contrast using the
operation panel. See the online Standalone Fax Manual.
