Installing a New Battery
The Compaq ProLiant 1850R server has two memory device which requires a
battery for retaining stored information. It is on the System Board. This battery
is required to maintain their data.
System Board Battery Replacement
When your server no longer automatically displays the correct date and time,
you may need to replace the battery that provides power to the real-time clock.
Under normal use, battery life is usually about five to ten years. Use Compaq
replacement battery part number 160274-001 a 600-milliampere alkaline,
4.5-volt battery.
After you have completed the battery installation, run the System Configuration
Utility to reconfigure your system.
