This completes your LAN driver update. Your can now to allow your network
controller to properly connect to the Network through the embedded controller.
LAN Driver Update Procedure NetWare for
Small Business 4.11
IMPORTANT: Since NetWare for Small Business 4.11 does not allow
intervention to change or modify drivers, you must follow the same procedure
for updating the drivers for the 53C876 SCSI Controller found on the ProLiant
800/850R and the ProLiant 1850R before starting the installation. For more
detailed information on this subject please refer to the NetWare/intraNetWare
Customer Advisory/Technical Solutions document #EN971210_CD01 for the
ProLiant 800/850R found on the Compaq Website.
Setup NetWare for Small Business 4.11
Perform the steps below before installing NetWare for Small Business 4.11.
1.
Copy the entire CD source (about 590 megabytes) onto a directory on the
systems local hard drive, maintaining directory structure.
2.
After copying, delete or rename the following files: CPQNF3.LAN,
MSM.NLM, NBI.NLM, and ETHERTSM.NLM. These files are located
under
(local drive letter) :\PRODUCTS\NW411\IBM\411\LANDRV in
the intraNetWare For Small Business directory structure.
3.
Copy the same deleted or renamed files in step 2 from the SmartStart and
Support Software CD
(CD Drive letter)
:\CPQSUPSW\NSSD\NETWORK
or, from the support diskette #3
A:\NETWORK back to the local hard drive
(Drive
letter):\PRODUCTS\NW411\IBM\411\LANDRV
directory.
4.
Install your Operating System.
NOTE: This directory containing the CD source may be deleted after completing the
installation.
