follows:
Select an appropriate site for your rack. See the Rack Planning and
Information Guide online document. This guide can be found on the
Rack Information Library CD or the information can be downloaded
from the Compaq website at www.compaq.com and provides site selection
criteria.
Unpack the server and rack mounting hardware.
Install any PCI and ISA expansion boards. See Chapter 3, Installing
Hardware Options. See the options kits for detailed instructions.
IMPORTANT: ISA expansion boards are installed after the System
Configuration Utility has been run (during the SmartStart portion of the
installation sequence).
Install other options: Other options include additional memory, hard
drives, power supplies, expansion boards, and external storage devices.
See Chapter 3, Installing Hardware Options. See the options kits for
detailed instructions. Install hardware options (with the exception of
additional memory and most PCI boards) before you run the System
Configuration Utility. The System Configuration utility is run during the
SmartStart portion of the installation sequence.
